Daylesford’s Paradise Bookshop is continuing its popular Community Book Launch series with pharmacist and nutritionist Sarah Gray — and this one comes with snacks.
Sarah, who moved to Daylesford eight months ago, will launch her new book, It’s Not You, It’s Perimenopause, on Thursday, 21 May from 5pm to 6pm. The event is free and open to everyone.
Described as “the ultimate companion in midlife,” Sarah’s book offers science-based lifestyle and supplement solutions to help women thrive. On the night, she’ll chat about listening to your body, self-advocacy, and using nutrition, body wisdom, and the medical system to navigate perimenopause.
“I’d love to see you there,” Sarah shared online. “Delicious, peri-beneficial treats will be served, laughs will be had, and books will be there for you to have signed and secured for your peri-tool kit.”
The treats, it turns out, are made from recipes in the book.
“This one’s for all you hot-flashing, brain-fogging, skin-itching, can’t-sleep folks out there who are just looking for a little guidance,” the bookshop shared on social media. But they also encourage everyone to come along — “because we could all benefit from learning how to support our peri peeps.”
Whether you’re navigating perimenopause yourself or supporting someone who is, all are welcome.
The Paradise Bookshop Community Book Launch series, run by owners Devon Taylor and Joseph Zizys, celebrates published authors from the Hepburn region. Sarah’s event follows successful launches with ecologist Alison Pouliot and baker Mara Ripani.
