At the monthly Hepburn Shire Council meeting this week, Council awarded a $500,000 road patching contract to address deteriorating road conditions across the Shire. Council has also recently entered into a partnership with five other Councils to deliver a regional approach to bituminous resealing.

A simulation of a catastrophic bushfire which started in the forest to the north-east of Hepburn and raced across the township in 40 kph north-westerly winds was presented to Hepburn and Daylesford residents earlier this week. the tool, used by emergency services in real fires, reinforced the need for preparation and prevention.
