The History Files: A Jackson Family Discovery at the Museum

The Jackson family established an engineering works in Vincent Street and ran the Star Picture Theatre which stood directly opposite the Museum. Jackson’s Lookout, located in Hepburn Regional Park, was built in 1954 by the Hepburn Progress Association’s Entertainment Committee in honour of Jack Jackson’s many contributions to the community.

Autumn Weather Right on Time

March rainfall of 46.8mm was just above the 44.7mm long-term average. That followed drier than average conditions for January and February. The Bureau of Meteorology modelling suggests that for April to the end of June drier than normal conditions are likely for much of Victoria.
